Take A Deep Breath (7th), How (2nd), Sammyjade (8th) and January Morn (4th) all clashed over the course and distance on June 22nd, but it was the first-named that came out on top when the quartet met again in the opening Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Fillies Maiden (Plus 10 Race) at Naas.

Colin Keane rode the successful daughter of first-season stallion, Bated Breath, and the 6/1 shot prevailed by two and a quarter lengths from the aforementioned How (11/10 favourite).

Winning trainer Michael O'Callaghan said: "She's a lovely filly and is owned by the Myerscoughs and friends but they just didn't have their colours ready in time so that's why she ran in mine.

"She had a nice introduction and learned a lot. We have always held her in high regard, and Colin said the ground was a bit slow for her and she will get seven furlongs. He liked her a lot.

"We'll step her up in class now and maybe go for something like the Silver Flash."

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving How, ridden by C. O'Donoghue, Take A Deep Breath (GB), ridden by C.T. Keane, and Zimyla ridden by W.M. Lordan, where it appeared Zimyla and Take A Deep Breath (GB) suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion C. O'Donoghue was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having taken his record into account, they severely cautioned him.
