Eglish returned to winning ways with a first win on the resurfaced track at Dundalk today as the Ado McGuinness trained filly landed the opening division of the Join On Instagram @dundalk_stadium Handicap under Champion Apprentice Gavin Ryan.

The daughter of Heeraat won on the all-weather at Wolverhampton in January either side of wins at the Co Louth venue in three consecutive wins earlier in 2020.

Today Eglish gained a fourth career win, and her first since the all-weather was resurfaced in August and McGuinness later said “she wasn't winning out of turn and loves this place.

“She has a new bunch of lads involved with her, in Shamrock Thoroughbreds, and it's great for them as it's her first win for them.

“On form she should have run a big race and it's great that she won. We'll campaign away up here and see what happens and she should go in again.

“The handicapper wasn't easy on her earlier in the year but when you win three times in an all-weather season he's not going to be too kind to you.

“We ran her on soft ground a few times but she needs top of the ground. She's a real all-weather fast ground filly.”
