Seamie Heffernan continues to lead the Jockeys' Championship and joined chasing jockeys Shane Foley and Colin Keane on the scoresheet at Leopardstown today as he steered the Aidan O'Brien trained Numen (7/1) to win the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (C&G) Maiden.

The son of Galileo wore down 4/5 favourite and leader Lough Cutra inside the final furlong before scoring a three and a half lengths win.

The win was Heffernan's 16th of the season, one more than Foley (successful on Oodnadatta in the opener) and four ahead of Keane (won on Ides Of August in the second race) on 13.
