Gavin Cromwell continued a red hot run of form when saddling another double at Bellewstown tonight courtesy of Quantatmental in the Kitchen Restaurant At The Thatch Novice Hurdle.

The New Approach gelding ran out a game winner, staying on best on the run-in to post a three-and-a-three-quarter length win under Jonathan Moore. Razoul had made a bid for home at the third last but Cromwell's charge found plenty for pressure and got on terms over the last before assert in the closing stages.

The 6/1 winner was sporting cheek-pieces for the first time this evening and the winning trainer said:-

"I was delighted. Cheek-pieces seemed to just help him travel a little bit better.

"He was putting it in, he's not ungenuine. I just think he needed something to help him travel.

"It's been a great week and please God we will be back for more in August.

"He could possibly go to Galway, the lads would love to go to Galway."

Cromwell had also struck earlier on the Flat with Aasleagh Fawn It was his third double in three days having also landed a brace here last night and at Musselburgh on Wednesday.
