“I can go anywhere with him. He’s fast,” enthused trainer Brian Nolan after Danielles Diamond (13/2 into 5/1) impressed in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden under Ronan Whelan at Naas.

Back in trip after finishing fourth and third on his previous outings, Danielles Diamond disputed, and he led two furlongs out.

Ridden to assert a furlong out, the Zebedee sprinter kept on strongly to go clear inside the final furlong for a six length verdict over On Tick

There was a distance of a neck then to Ten Sovereigns’ sister, Eden Quay in third.

“He’s as good as the mother and she was a 94 (rated) mare. She (What About Me) was fourth in a Group 3 here and chipped a bone in her knee in the Guineas,” elaborated Nolan.

“I’ve a lovely Sir Prancealot yearling and a Mehmas foal (out of the dam).

“I thought he should have won in Leopardstown but things didn’t go right. He took off after coming out of the stalls and made all the running.

“He’d a great run here (on debut) and the form of that race has worked out very well.

“Hopefully he’ll (be sold to) go to Hong Kong now.”

The Stewards informed Aidan F. Fogarty, trainer that True Motion would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Smart Project trained by Kieran P. Cotter, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
