Dark Design (5/1), ridden by Tom Kiely Marshall, won the Good Enuf To Eat Caterers At Gowran Park Apprentice Handicap (45-65) (DIV I).

The Gutaifan gelding, a winner at Limerick last year and coming into this off the back of a fourth place finish at Killarney, had a good tussle with Hidden Spark over the last furlong and a half before getting the better of that one by half length.

The winning rider, who just recently turned 17, is from Emly, Co. Limerick.

It was a double for winning trainer Joe Murphy (winner number thirteen of the season) after Galtee Mist earlier, and the in-form Fethard handler said: "He's a nice low grade genuine horse. That's his level and hopefully he stays in it.

“I thought young Tom gave him a great ride, he got into a lovely position.

“That's his second win from ten rides. He's a good lad and works hard.”
