Dr Mikey had an all-the-way victory in Cork's bumper under Declan Queally.

The seven-year-old gelding held a healthy lead of a couple lengths approaching the final two furlongs.

He was soon ridden and increased the advantage over Little Folke Dr Mikey strode on to score by six lengths at 8/1.

Little Folke, the 5/2 favourite, took second some six lengths ahead of Court Martialed at 4/1.

Trainer Margaret Flynn said: "He is a very highly strung horse and seemingly so was his dam but we've always thought he was a good horse.

"We've had to nurse him along and have waited a long time with him but hopefully he has a future. The ground was too soft for him the last day and we'll look for a small little hurdle for him next. We'll look for a galloping track on suitable ground before the winter comes."
