Trainer Joseph O'Brien completed a double at Killarney today as his Druid's Altar landed the Download The BoyleSports App Novice Chase under jockey JJ Slevin.

Four year old Druid's Altar has been to all the big festivals, Leopardstown (last Christmas), Cheltenham, Punchestown and Galway in recent times and was today bagging a fifth career win and his second over fences.

Slevin later said “he is a good hardy four year old, all the allowances were a big help and it was a good bit of placing. He had a good run over a trip which was a shade short for him at Galway the last day.

“I'm sure they'll have plenty sport with him and he won't mind going up in trip as he gets older. There might be a nice pot in him somewhere and he is by Mastercraftsman who was a good sire of a jumper but unfortunately died recently.”

Trainer O'Brien was earlier successful with the Gigginstown House Stud owned, Donagh Meyler partnered Embittered in a beginners' chase.
