Robert Tyner and Philip Enright combined for a double at Navan this afternoon as Its The Ice I Like cruised to an effortless success in the Dean Hill Handicap Chase at Navan.

The well supported 7/4 favourite (from 9/4) was also completing a brace for owner JP McManus, who had also struck with the Philip Dempsey trained Whatareudoingtome

Only eight went to post for the two-and-a-half mile handicap chase but it was incident packed with only half the field finishing. Heavenly Brook made the running after Smokey Joe Joe crashed out at the second fence. He was claimed by the winner three out however. Enright went clear over the second last on the Oscar gelding and he could afford to ease down on the run-in for a four-and-a-half length success.

McManus' racing manager Frank Berry said afterwards: - “I'm glad he's won a race. He's a horse that's had his problems but he loved the track. He'll go for something similar over Christmas.” Shantalla had also unseated at the second while at that same fence, then the fourth last, Miss Xian also unshipped. Seriatim took a heavy fall at the last when held in third.

Enright and Tyner had also struck with Killeena House in the mares maiden hurdle.
