Hors Piste justified her short price with an effortless success in the two-mile-three conditions hurdle at Kilbeggan this evening.

Paul Townend bounced out in front on the 1/10 shot and she shook off the attentions of Hope Des Blins after the second last.

The Willie Mullins-trained daughter of Kapgarde, who was third in Grade 1 company at Fairyhouse on her previous outing, opened up before the final flight to post a 22-length success.

“She's a lovely filly and she's going to be a grand filly for next year as well,” said Townend.

“She jumps well and her run at Fairyhouse was good. We didn't learn anymore about her today but it's nice to get another win with her.

“In fairness they have a great job done on the ground so you can run the likes of her on it without a worry.”
