Secret Legacy made a very eye-catching debut in Tipperary's bumper for Gordon Elliott and Nina Carberry.

The six-year-old Flemensfirth gelding absolutely tanked into contention in the final quarter of a mile.

Carberry was virtually motionless as her mount drew alongside the hard at work 11/8 favourite Caliption in the final furlong.

Secret Legacy merely had to be shaken up in the closing stages to go on by two and three quarter lengths.

He was returned at 7/2 having drifted markedly from 11/10 in the morning.

Gordon Elliott said: "He is a fair horse, I'd say he is a good horse because I only have him a month and I thought for one of mine he looked fat.

"I bet he'll be alright and I'd say he's a horse who is going to do plenty and definitely be okay.

"Alan Harte, his owner from London, sent him to me a month ago and I think he was big and backward and never got to run in a point to point.

"The way he has done that, he has to be okay and he'll go for a maiden hurdle next. He's a big three-mile chaser in the making."

Secret Legacy gave Elliott a treble on the card following victories by Roaring Bull and Death Duty
