The Gordon Elliott-trained Take A Turn proved too strong for stable-mate From Eden when running out a cosy winner of the Molson Coors Handicap Hurdle at Downpatrick.

From Eden was sent off a 11/10 shot for the two-mile-two contest and hit the front going to the last hurdle.

He was joined over the final flight by Take A Turn and the Henrythenavigator gelding soon kicked on.

Keith Donoghue 's mount powered up the hill and he could afford to ease up in the closing stages to record a three-and-three-quarter length victory.

The 11/1 winner was making his first start in handicap company over timber having been well held in four maiden hurdle runs.

Elliott said: "He improved a lot from the last day and Keith said he was a different horse.

"It was a surprise but it's nice to get it, winners are what we want and what it is all about."
