Enchanted One gave Johnny Murtagh an across-the-card double when winning another thriller on Dundalk's card this evening.

The Footstepsinthesand gelding travelled well in the mile nursery before coming through to lead in the final quarter of a mile.

He was sent about his business racing to the final furlong but the closers kept him more than honest in the final stages.

The well supported 9/4 favourite scored by a neck from Adamaris (9/2) who was a nose in front of Johan The Great at 6/1.

Jockey Colin Keane said: “He jumped very smart today and relaxed real well. I probably got there too easy and to be fair to him when I dropped my stick (inside the final furlong) he put his head down and galloped to the line — it was more him than me.

“He kept on well and hopefully the lads will have a bit of fun with him over the winter. If I was to ride him again I would have got there a lot later.”

Murtagh enjoyed his first National Hunt winner as a trainer with Prosecution in Limerick this afternoon.
