Pat Fahy thinks Morning Assembly is ready to put in a big run in the Ultima Handicap Chase at the Cheltenham Festival on Tuesday.
A Grade One-winning novice hurdler, the nine-year-old was a leading novice chaser before injury intervened and spent the best part of two years on the sidelines.
He has had two runs since returning, finishing second at Fairyhouse before occupying the same position in the Red Mills Chase.
His trainer said: "I have a great feeling about him.
"It took a long time to get the condition off him and I think I have him ready now. He definitely has a chance of being in the battle."
The Henry de Bromhead-trained top-weight Shanahan's Turn has disappointed in his last two starts but previously proved he can handle the hustle and bustle of a big occasion.
Jockey Johnny Burke said: "He was a good winner of the Galway Plate and has not become a bad horse overnight.
"I think he'll run well providing he gets better ground."
