Despite being under pressure from a long way out, Whats Happening kept pulling out more under Barry Geraghty to win the Limerick GAA Supporters Chase for trainer Michael Hourigan.

The six-year-old son of Lahib won his beginners chase over the course last month and he was stepped up in trip to three miles this afternoon.

He was sent off the 13/8 favourite and he was settled in third as Character Actor set a good pace from the front with Original Option racing in second.

Whats Happening appearing to be struggling at the third last but he closed right up on the leaders approaching the straight.

Original Option (10/1) travelled best approaching the last but Whats Happening pulled up that little bit extra on the run-in and he went on to score by a length.

Michael Hourigan said afterwards: "The ground was probably on the quick side for him today, things were happening a bit fast for him.

"We might wait for slow ground now but Killarney and Galway are possibilities.

"He has done everything right, he won a bumper, maiden hurdle and now two chases.

"My godson & nephew William Hourigan bred him and he owns him with his wife Karen and I'm delighted from them"
