Gliondar Mo Chroi recorded her first success in the Broderick's Electrical Handicap Hurdle, scoring under Mark Enright for Aidan Fogarty and his father Joe.

A good second to Cappacon at Sligo on her penultimate start, the five-year-old daughter of Stowaway since disappointed at Wexford.

Fitted with a tongue strap for the first time today, she was sent off an 8/1 chance, off a mark of 86.

Settled behind the leaders on the outer, she improved the front from the second last, and was ridden out on the run-in to score by a length and three parts. Euro So Brave (20/1) ran on well to take second under Trevor Ryan for Willie Austin, while the well-backed Pump Road (20s in early shows and from 7s to 5s on-course) was another three parts of a length back in third. Oskar High who was sent off the well-backed 9/4 favourite (from 7/2), faded tamely from two out, and eventually finished tenth.

"I picked the best of the ground. We should have won the last race with Robin On The Hill We should have had a double I think," said Enright.

"We were very unlucky on the bend.

"She was good - she was very keen but I went out on the best of the ground - it's very cut up on the inside. I think that was the key to it."
