Strong winds are expected today with rain developing mid-afternoon. The seven-race card gets under way at 2.25pm. Shantou Sisu is attracting support for the three mile handicap hurdle at 5pm. The nine-year-old gelding's sole victory came at Clonmel in March last year. He trades around 9/1 from 12s.
Elsewhere, the going at Thurles ahead of Thursday's card is Yielding. There is an unsettled forecast with 10 to 15mm (approximately) of rain prior to racing.
