The Drogheda Traders 3-y-o Maiden was won by 4/1 chance Golddaragon Reef, partnered by Shane Foley after he re-routed to Bellewstown following the cancellation of Tippereary.

Fourth to subsequent Listed winner Pista on her debut at Galway, she tracked the front-running Masterdream before hitting the front inside the final quarter-mile.

The 6/4 favourite Druid's Altar gave chase in the final furlong but the Jessica Harrington-trained filly found enough to hold that one by half a length, with the newcomer Caldwell (7/1) back in third.

The winner is a daughter of Fastnet Rock out of a mare who was Group 2-placed as a two-year-old for Tommy Stack.

Winning rider Shane Foley said: "She had a nice run in Galway and stepped forward from that.

“She handles the ground well and she stays well. We had a nice run around and it was pretty straightforward.

“She had a good look when she got to the front. She'll be a grand filly going forward in a handicap.

“She's a filly at home that she only goes on our deep gallop and she seems to enjoy it.

"We missed a few engagements with her on good ground because we were afraid to chance her. She enjoys that soft ground."
