Holly Flight (5-1) and Eoin O'Brien won a battle in Killarney with gambled-on Dundeedy Lad by three parts of a length for handler Paul O'Flynn.

The pair took over from Whoyakodding jumping the second last and settled down for a scrap.

Holly Flight held a very narrow lead at the last but was headed on the run-in. She battled back gamely, though, to get up in the closing stages by three parts of a length.

Runner-up Dundeedy Lad had been as big as 20/1 in the morning and went off at 5/1. Thatbeatsbanagher was four lengths away in third at 10/1.

Paul O'Flynn said: "I'd like to thank Pat and Mike Fennessy who sent us the mare for the year and she is the stable star for us.

"She'll run away for the summer and we'll have plenty fun with her and she was due that one as every day she goes she tries.

"She won her point-to-point on soft but she goes on anything and is an honest mare.

"We have a small yard and have mostly four-year-old point-to-pointers who we try to sell on. We have a handful of track horses and she could go back over hurdles at some stage soon."
