Hurricane Ridge landed a remarkable hat-trick when taking the Seaniemac.com Beginners Chase at Killarney.

The Jessica Harrington-trained gelding was given a good front-running ride by Robbie Power to land the two-and-a-half mile contest.

The 9/1 shot stayed on well in the closing stages to post a two-and-three-quarter length victory over Sizing Solution with the pair pulling 21 lengths clear of evens favourite Security Breach

“He's a bit of a Killarney specialist as he's won his two-year-old maiden, three-year-old hurdle and now his beginners chase here,” revealed Power afterwards.

“He jumps well if a little careful and stays really well. I told Jessica last time that he wants three miles.

“The more positive tactics suited and he battles well. When he's in the right frame of mind he's a good horse.”
