The John Oxx trained, Newtown Anner Stud Farm owned Upgraded gained her maiden win just five days after her debut run at Gowran today, landing the Thomastown Maiden under jockey Declan McDonogh.

The daughter of Acclamation, a staying-on eighth on debut at Navan on Saturday, was backed from 20/1 this morning and then from 10/1 on track in to an 8/1 chance and in the end stayed on strongly to score a three lengths win over Sometimes A Fox

Oxx was represented by Jimmy ‘Slim’ O’Neill who later said “she was very green the last day but came home well. She's obviously improved a good bit and loves that ground. She can step up again to ten furlongs now.”
