Its All Guesswork made the breakthrough on his fourth try over fences, as he ran out a comfortable winner of the Emerald Facility Services Beginners Chase.

Placed on his last three starts, the Gordon Elliott trained six-year-old was expected to score this afternoon, going off the 4/5 favourite in the colours of owner Philip Reynolds.

Settled behind the leaders, the successful son of Mahler jumped into a share of the lead at the seventh, and held a definite advantage from the fourth last.

He soon went clear, and kept up the gallop in the home straight, going on to score easily by six and a half lengths.

The Colin Bowe trained Rueben James (20/1) ran a nice race to take second under Bryan Cooper, while Ah Littleluck was another length back in third.

Elliott said afterwards: "He was entitled to win on the run in Listowel, and Davy said he's a different horse on that ground.

"He's a top of the ground horse, and we might take him over to England or Scotland."
