Famous namesake Jack Hackett landed the concluding Pegus Horse Feed P-To-P Bumper at Cork today as the Dot Love trained gelding scored under jockey Aaron Murphy.

Named after the famous character in TV series Father Ted, the son of Beat Hollow battled well in the home straight for his three parts of a length win over Costalotmore

Afterwards trainer Love said “he is a big horse who likes the top of the ground and is growing up every time he goes out. He will be going the hurdle route, will like summer ground and progress from there.”

Winning owner/breeder Sean Reilly added “his dam was a really good mare and when he ran in a bumper at Gowran, the ground was bottomless and gluey and he didn't travel on it at all. He won afterwards at Durrow and has really got it together since.

“He likes nice ground and we might run him again this season.”
