The money came late and fast for Static Jack (4s into 11/4) in the Nutritional Therapy Ireland Maiden Hurdle at Galway and the Heliostatic gelding delivered in style.

Supplying Davy Russell with some compensation after a final flight fall on Mr Antolini (every chance at the time) in the opener, Static Jack careered away up the run-in for a six length verdict over Sweet Home Chicago

"He jumped a little big the last day and we were a little concerned about the rain that fell earlier today," said winning trainer Ellmarie Holden, who could hardly have made a better start to her career in this sphere.

"He might have a break now for a couple of months as he has been on the go for a year."

B.M. Cash, rider of Baltimore Buzz trained by Aidan Anthony Howard, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly throughout.
