Standing at Haras de Montaigu in France, there was a second winner in succession for the stallion No Risk At All at Fairyhouse, as split two of the Kettles Country House Supporting Fingal Ravens GAA Maiden Hurdle went to Keskonrisk on debut for owner Mike Grech and trainer Joseph O’Brien.

The sire of Epatante and Allaho was responsible for the victor of the 1.36 event, Hook Up and Keskonrisk (J J Slevin) is another exciting young prospect for the half-brother to Nickname.

Bought by Henrietta Knight for 370,000 pounds out of the Hyde yard, after winning a bumper at this venue on New Year’s Day, the five-year-old was here equipped with a first-time tongue-strap for his hurdles debut.

He’s now two from two, and he did well to pull this out of the fire having been tightened up and bumped after the penultimate flight.

Second favourite Indigo Breeze had set sail for home from before the last, and Keskonrisk impressed to get up and ‘short head’ him on the line.

O’Brien stable representative Brendan Powell said: “Henrietta Knight bought him for Mike (Grech) and he’s a lovely horse.

“JJ said he’s a great traveller and when he asked him to pick up it took him a while but he does have a turn of foot. A faster run race would probably suit him.

“He’s grinded it out well in the end and has won going away. He’s one to look forward to as he hasn’t put a foot wrong the whole way around and he’ll jump a fence.”

For the Supreme Novices Hurdle Paddy Power go 25/1 (from 50/1) about Keskonrisk.

The aforementioned Epatante won at Newcastle today and Imperil (28/1) was another for No Risk It All this afternoon, at Doncaster.

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Gold Creek trained by Aengus King, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left when under pressure.
