Killer Crow saw out the two and a half miles on heavy ground best to take the rated novice chase for Gigginstown, Gordon Elliott and Bryan Cooper.

The son of Presenting was held up in rear of the eight runners before improving into fifth at the fourth-last fence. His progress continued as he travelled well into third at the penultimate fence. At this stage Balnagon Boy and The Winkler were the two horses he was hunting down.

He then moved smoothly into contention as he joined The Winkler at the last. Cooper went for the whip on the run-in and his charge forged home best to win by a length and three quarters at 10/1.

The Winkler (14/1) got a runner-up reward while Balnagon Boy rounded out the places in third at 5/1.Sizing Titanium, the 11/8 favourite, weakened out of contention to come home fourth.

“I'd say he'd go any trip. He likes to travel and Bryan gave him a good ride,” Gordon Elliott said.

“It's grand to get a winner as we've hit the crossbar a few times today.”
