“We got her from a claimer. She ran poorly last time out but she flipped over walking out of the parade ring, she's very boisterous, and we think that was the reason for it,” said trainer Lee Smyth after Lady Godiva popped up at 33/1 in the McGeoughs Bar & Restaurant Handicap at Dundalk.

The former Richard Hannon and Joseph O'Brien runner, off a 119 day, got off the mark at the 22nd time of asking, by half a length, after getting first run on Crossingoz

There was the same distance then to favourite Mulzamm in third.

Wayne Lordan was aboard Lady Godiva and Smyth elaborated: "We gave her a break and brought her back fresh. We tried to find a jockey that was familiar with her antics in the parade ring.

“Wayne seen her coming out acting the maggot and he just laughed at her so he knew her straight away.

“The reason the filly won today was 100 percent down to Wayne Lordan. He knows her and that's the key to her.

“It's the first racehorse for her owner Martin Hughes. She's only had three starts for him and he's absolutely over the moon.

“The reason behind the colours (like the Tabor silks) is that he's a huge fan of the horse Montjeu. All of his horses are either Camelot or Pour Moi and his broodmares are all related in some way to Montjeu.

“That's his first winner and she was 33/1 so we are well chuffed.”

The Stewards informed Mrs D.A.Love, trainer that All The Mollies would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Stewards interviewed Mrs D.A.Love, trainer of All The Mollies, concerning the conduct of her charge prior to this race.

A recording of the incident was viewed.

The Stewards advised the trainer that a repeat of this horse's behaviour may render it liable to suspension in future.
