Logical Song ran out a comfortable winner of the Printfix Beginners Chase, scoring under Danny Mullins for his mother Mags.

Twice successful over flights, the son of King's Theatre filled the runner-up spot four times already this year.

He was second on his most recent start at Ballinrobe last month, and was sent off the even money favourite this afternoon.

Settled in second, he was pushed along to challenge on the approach to the last. He got to the front before that obstacle, staying on well from there to score easily by six and a half lengths.

The front-running La Bella Vida finished second under Sean Flanagan for Liz Doyle at 5/2, while Bendanella was nineteen lengths back in third.

The winning handler said afterwards: "He's really a two and a half mile horse but his jumping has improved. I'm delighted with him and he always runs well and tries his heart out. He really pinged the last.

"I'm delighted for (owner/breeder) Daniel (Furini) who is an Italian man. I'm not sure where we will go from here. We might look for a handicap but it's nice to get that today."
