Macgiloney registered a seventh win at Fairyhouse today as the Denis Hogan trained eight year old landed the Fingal Hygiene & Safety Rated Novice Chase under jockey Sean Flanagan.

The son of Milan bagged two bumpers in 2018, three hurdles in 2019 and chase wins in 2020 and again today, as he beat Key Commander by two lengths.

Flanagan, who was partnering his 55th winner this season, later stated “he's done it well enough and idled from the back of the second last.

“I thought Denis (O'Regan, on High Sparrow might come a bit more with me but he missed the second last and left me there way too early.

“We went a very sedate pace early. I quickened down Ballyhack and got into contention from there .

“The further he goes the better he'll be. He's a fine big chasing type and will appreciate a bit of nice ground. He's in the Kim Muir and the 'four-miler' at Cheltenham.”
