Allez Kal bids to repeat last years’s win in the Kevin McManus Bookmaker Handicap Hurdle at Cork, and has been strongly supported to do so. Jimmy Barcoe’s mare has shortened from 18/1 into 6/1 for that 2.00pm contest with BoyleSports.

The same firm has seen support for Blast Of Koeman in the 2m handicap chase at 3.10. Robert Tyner’s charge had a recent spin over hurdles and is 7/2 from 13/2 and sports a first-time hood today. Future Proof has been in good form on the Flat, and Noel Meade’s four-year-old is 11/8 from 9/4 with Paddy Power to take the Irish Daily Mirror handicap Hurdle at Punchestown (1.40pm).

Also at the Kildare venue, Charles ByrnesAlpine Cobra third to Andy Dufresne at Navan last weekend, is 2/1 from 11/4 with BoyleSports for the 2m6f maiden hurdle at 2.15, while both Rooster Byron (8/1 into 5/1 with Powers) and Gwencily Berbas (7s into 5s with Boyles) have their supporters in the handicap chase at 3.20.

Young rider Oakley Brown has been doing well for Joseph O’Brien, and the point-to-point winner Battle Of Actium (9/1 into 7/1 with BoyleSports) has seen support for what looks a very hot bumper at 3.50, with the stable also represented by the shorter-priced Killarney runner-up Slige Dala
