Tony Martin’s string is up and running nicely now with the Galway festival approaching and Landsman gave further evidence of that under top-weight in the Dublin's Q102 Apprentice Handicap at Fairyhouse.

Frank Lynch and Gavin Cromwell's great servant Political Policy made Landsman work, and after a thrilling finish a short head split them.

"He had a couple of nice efforts before and just didn't deliver. He was a bit unlucky the last day," said Martin on the Oisin Orr-ridden victor.

"There weren't a lot of runners but it was still a good performance, I thought. You can do no more than win.

"This week has been lucky and it's been a good week.

"I didn't think he had a hard race there.  I'm not too worried about Galway with him but we'll have a look and I'll see how he is towards Friday.

"I wouldn't be too worried about it as he'd like that better ground there, hard ground, and Galway will be well watered.

"He's got the job done today and we've been a long time waiting for that."
