The market spoke loudly again in the bumper at Galway as Andy Oliver's Presenting Meghan scored on her debut.

Having been as big as 14/1 this morning the Presenting filly was backed into 5/1 on course.

Richie Deegan took the mount and sent the five-year-old into the lead passing the three furlong pole in the two-miler.

She found plenty in the closing stages to repel all challengers and record a two-and-a-quarter length win over Lady Of Elyisum. Lightning Skye another gamble (11/1 into 15/8f), was a short-head back in third.

The winner is a full-sister to Grade 2 winner Competitive Edge.

Oliver said:- "she is a nice filly and is well bred. We have her under a year and have brought her along from scratch.

“She has a great attitude and has always pleased us and has come along slowly.

"We thought she had done enough for today but would need the experience and Richie gave her a very nice ride.

"She did some good work at the end and showed a good attitude.

"I'm delighted for the owners (Jason Trotter & William David Hogg) who have showed great interest and it gives me great satisfaction to do it for people who appreciate it as much. We'll see where we go from here."
