Ryan Moore made the quick dash back after riding the St Leger winner Kew Gardens at Doncaster worthwhile when partnering I Can Fly to a stylish win in the Clipper Logistics Boomerang Stakes at Leopardstown.

Aidan O’Brien saddled a trio of runners in this mile Group 2 event, and the front-running Kenya was still bowling along at the head of affairs over a furlong out.

However the patiently-ridden I Can Fly was produced with a powerful run by Moore on the outer in the straight, and the 7/2 chance led inside the final 150 yards to score by a length and a half.

Kenya took the runner-up spot, with Pincheck a further two and a half lengths away in third.

Aidan O'Brien said, “We thought the world of her in the spring. She just disappointed a few times and it took her a while to get it back together.nShe did it very nicely and quickened up very well. She won nicely in Killarney and then was slow away in Tipperary but Donnacha was very happy with her.

“All those fillies races are there for her and she'll probably stay a bit further than a mile. She got home well today and it was a good solid pace.

“That's the way Kenya won the Cambridgeshire and he's a solid horse. He ran a great race and he's in the English Cambridgeshire.”
