Cash Back made a winning chase debut in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase at Navan today, scoring for Champion Trainer Willie Mullins and Champion Jockey Paul Townend.

The French bred son of Linda's Lad finished second at Grade 2 level in a novice hurdle at Fairyhouse last April and today showed an aptitude for chasing when battling well to justify 11/10 favouritism and beat Caupccimix by seven lengths.

Afterwards Mullins said “that was a good performance. He’s a very forward going horse in the Un De Sceaux mode.

“I think he’ll stick to that trip and his jumping should improve with fitness. We’ll head to Christmas and he’ll have to improve to go to the highest grade.

“We’ll try and keep Laurina, Tornado Flyer and him apart at this stage.”
