Multifactorial justified his short price when running out a convincing winner of the concluding bumper at Downpatrick this afternoon.

The Gordon Elliott-trained gelding went to post a 5/6 shot for the two-mile-one contest and was to the fore throughout.

Lisa O'Neill sent her mount for home going to the two furlong marker and he stayed on strongly up the hill to settle matters.

The Gigginstown gelding went on to record a five-length win over Legacy Thor He wasn't winning out of turn having been runner-up on three occasions previously.

Elliott said: "He's a big, honest galloping horse. He just does everything you ask him to do but he's a horse for the future.

"He had a good run behind (stablemate) Thatsy who I think is very smart.

"He's a big three-miler for the future."
