Nobody Home made all and routed the opposition by a whopping 17 lengths in the Fairyhouse 2019 Membership Handicap Hurdle, with Brian Hayes in the plate.

The eight-year-old gelding brought up plenty of bets at 12-1 having been backed in from as big as 28/1 in morning trading.

He raced clear throughout and increased the advantage before four out in this two and a half mile contest.

He sauntered home with all his rivals toiling in behind. Jetez came in a remote second at 11/2, a short head in front of Nobody Home's stablemate Fruits Of Glory (33/1).

Trainer Eddie Cawley said: “I said to Brian going out if nobody else is going on then take a chance on it. We’ve been holding him up so many days and he just doesn’t see it out.

“We were lucky the loose horse came up and joined him. He would have pulled up big time if he hadn’t been there. Brian said he stayed on with the loose horse and it really did him a favour.

“He won here over two and a half miles but that was on heavy ground, and I thought on fast ground he wouldn’t have a chance. I thought the third horse (Fruits Of Glory) had a chance. Horses would make liars of you but as long as it’s the right way we don’t mind!”
