Jack Kennedy’s return to the saddle saw him finish at the back of the field, as his mount, odds-on favourite Tullybeg put in an error prone round of jumping, tending to go to his right.
Hugh Morgan did the steering on 7/4 second market choice, Not Available, and he kept up a decent gallop off the front end to beat Sky Marshal and Secret Cargo by five and a half lengths and two and a half lengths.
“He has ability and it's just a matter of getting it out of him. That's why he wears the blinkers, he's just a little bit idle,” said Morgan.
“I was keen to make it a bit of a test, I didn't want it turning into a sprint. To be fair to him he was good and gutsy to the line.
“It was a nice performance and hopefully now he's got his head in front he'll go on from here.
“It's lovely to get my first winner for Brian Acheson and Robcour.”
J.W. Kennedy, rider of Tullybeg trained by Mrs Denise Foster, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped poorly and made a noise in running.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tullybeg, trained by Mrs Denise Foster, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
