An interesting finale at Listowel went the way of Law Girl who was too strong for Light Pillar in the final furlong.

Willie Mullins held a strong hand in this mile and seven Qualified Riders' race as he supplied the 2/1 favourite Bleu Berry (the Coral Cup winner at this year's Cheltenham Festival) and Law Girl.

The latter went off 3/1 under Lisa O'Neill who kept her within range of the leaders.

The pair strode along in third behind Light Pillar and Cinnabar Reds before they improved to challenge Light Pillar in the final furlong.

Law Girl got the better of Light Pillar in the final 100 yards and stayed on well to post a win by three parts of a length.

Runner-up Light Pillar was three lengths ahead of Bleu Berry.

Lisa O'Neill said: "That's my first ride for Mr Mullins so it's great to get a win on it. She gave me a great spin the whole way around and travelled the whole way and jumped on the bridle a furlong down and galloped the whole way to the line.

"I rang Patrick (Mullins) myself when I saw she had a light weight and if you don't try, you'll never know! They were very good to give me the ride and it's a privilege to ride one of his."
