Mick Mulvany is planning a chasing career with On The Go Again once National Hunt racing is up and running later this summer.

The Trim trainer has really progressed his operation in recent times with Flat season totals of 16 winners in 2018 and 15 last year.

On The Go Again has been a real flagbearer for the yard winning eight times under both codes and over €200,000 in prize-money having landed the Tote Irish Lincoln and the Listed Heritage Stakes plus the Liam Healy Memorial Lartigue Hurdle.

However, things have not gone to plan since for the home-bred son of Arakan who proved bitterly disappointing in three outings last year.

Mulvany said, “We gave him a complete break after getting his wind done. He’s also had a few niggly injuries and we were always trying to play catch up with him. We let him find his feet and he was out all winter.

“I was going to bring him back in and have a few runs on the Flat but the way things are now there is no point. We are planning to send him chasing as he’s a nice big horse.

“I’m thinking of the summer on for him now and maybe something like Listowel.”
