Ornua followed-up on his impressive win at Down Royal, as he made all in the Clonmel Racecourse Supporters Club Guest Evening Hurdle.

Available at 7/4 last night, the Henry De Bromhead trained six-year-old went off the well-supported 5/4 favourite, with Morgan who was odds-on for a time today, going off at 6/4.

Sent straight to the front by Brian O'Connell, his advantage was reduced from three out, but he went on again before the next, and came home with seventeen lengths to spare.

The aforementioned Morgan was second under Bryan Cooper for Gordon Elliott, while Prickly was another thirteen lengths back in third.

Henry de Bromhead said afterwards: "I'm delighted for his owner John Phelan who has had a few winners with us now. He's a great supporter of ours, and also has Show And Go. He's based in London and this is the first time that he's been here for one of the winners.

"He's done nothing wrong since he's met the better ground. There is a nice novice hurdle at Killarney in July and there is lots to look forward to with him. We were going to go chasing but we'll stay hurdling for the moment."
