Pierlow proved strong in the finish to Division 1 of the two and a half mile handicap hurdle and gave Henry de Bromhead and Andrew Lynch a 53/1 double in Clonmel. Res Ipsa Loquitur after her eyecatching third in Down Royal, was sent off the 7/2 favourite. She hacked along in mid-division before moving into sixth after jumping the third last. She tanked into the lead approaching the second last and her backers must have felt very confident as jockey Brian O’Connell was motionless.

However, she didn’t raise a leg to jump the second last or the last and Pierlow on her inner battled on to secure the spoils by half a length at 8/1.

"That's brilliant and I'm delighted for the owners (Social Network Syndicate). They have been with me four or five years and they were second with their first runner at Tramore. This is their first winner and it has been all done through Facebook with the help of Michael O'Callaghan who also does the website for us. They are very supportive owners and they have been very patient. Andrew said he might get further,” Henry de Bromhead said. Boherna Lady (14/1) and 16/1 shot Castaway Island took third and fourth respectively in another big field of runners (18) at the Tipperary track.
