Punchestown Festival Bumper winner Colreevy got off the mark at the second attempt over hurdles at Limerick today as Willie Mullins' mare easily won the Roches Feeds (Mares) Maiden Hurdle under the Champion Trainer's nephew jockey Danny Mullins.

The daughter of Flemensfirth fell on her point-to-point debut in March 2017 before spending two seasons in bumpers, culminating in Grade 1 glory at Punchestown last May and today made all to comfortably beat Lady Breffni by eight and a half lengths.

Afterwards jockey Danny Mullins reported “she was the best horse in the race so I kept it simple and on form you'd hope she would beat all of those.

“Her jumping was slick which should see her step up to the next level over hurdles and I imagine Willie will find a Listed or Graded race for her next.

“She should also get further and distance won't be any trouble for her but she also travels well too.”
