Punters latch on to Pony Racing Champion at Gowran

Pony Racing sensation Dylan Browne-McMonagle makes his eagerly awaited racecourse debut at Gowran Park this afternoon when he takes one ride on Harvey Specter for trainer Dick Donohoe in the first division of the Apprentice handicap at 4.30pm.

Donegal teenager Browne-McMonagle recently signed on as an apprentice with Joseph O'Brien following a glittering career on the Pony Racing circuit.

He will have his work cut out to make a winning debut on the racecourse as his mount has a poor draw in stall 19 for the one mile contest at Gowran Park but that hasn't stopped punters rowing in behind the teenager.

Harvey Specter's price has plummeted from 20/1 to 7/1 in the early morning exchanges. The six-year-old has twice won on testing ground in the past and hinted at a return to form when a staying on 6th of 17 over the course last month.
