Despite being in against some well-backed rivals Sassy Yet Classy fended them all off for favouritism, and she justified her market position in the closing Listowel Printing Works Irish EBF Mares (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race.

Breeder of several Grade One winners, Gary Hadden-owns the Tony Black-trained N'arrete Jamais and she was popular in early markets, eventually going off a 4/1 chance.

Charles Byrnes' Late Again was the one for money at the track — backed from 7/1 into 4/1.

N'arrete Jamais and Late Again could manage only fourth and sixth places respectively as up front Earth Sister tried to fend off Sassy Yet Classy.

The Gordon Elliott-trained and Jamie Codd-ridden 100/30 shot eventually got the upper hand by three parts of a length.

Peter Fahey with Earth Sister was having his second silver medallist of the day, after Theatre World earlier.

There was some light for Fahey though as Sassy Yet Classy finished fourth to his exciting sort, Gypsy Island, at Ballinrobe last month.

Here then there was a length to debutant Cotton End for Mag Mullins and Tommy Brett in third.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Shanakey trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.
