She’llbeallright confirmed the promise of her previous outing at Punchestown when running out a convincing winner of the second division of the two-and-a-half mile handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse.

James Grace’s charge had been third on New Year’s Eve and was sent off a 5/1 shot to open her account today.

Davy Russell produced his mount to lead going to the last and she stayed on well in the closing stages to record a five-and-a-half length win.

There was drama at the second last as Kilkeaskins First crashed out when in contention and brought down Sweet Colleen

“We thought the last day was too short for her. We were hopeful today and we had the right man on board,” said Grace.

“Everything worked out. I was afraid the ground might be a bit tacky for her but Davy said no, that she travelled away.

“Davy was saying she could go up in trip and we’ll look for something similar. Hopefully the handicapper won’t be too hard on her.”
