Willie Mullins completed a treble on the day at Navan when Shesafoxylady herself put victory number three on the board, under Patrick Mullins, in the concluding Listed ITBA Fillies Scheme EBF (Mares) INH Flat Race.

Following on from Moyle Park and Ballycasey earlier, Shesafoxylady gave further evidence of her class when conceding weight away all round in the closing two miler.

After travelling well, the Supreme Horse Racing Club's 3/1 shot was in pursuit of Palm Sur in the final quarter mile. The Trans Island mare got on top inside the last and ended up crossing the line three parts of a length to the good.

"She has a great turn of foot and that's why I didn't want to go too soon on her today.

"She's tough as anything because I wasn't sure going between the wings of the last whether I'd catch Nina (on Palm Sur) but she put her head down and away with her.

"She's a good mare – not many win three – I wouldn't rule something like the Cheltenham Bumper out but I'll leave that to my father, he can deal with that and I'll just enjoy today," said Patrick Mullins afterwards. (AM & EM)
