Stormy Ireland lead home a 1, 2, 3 for Willie Mullins in the Listed Killarney Oils Mares Hurdle.

An impressive winner on her Irish debut at Fairyhouse in November, she then fell in the Triumph Hurdle, before unseating on her most recent start at the Punchestown Festival.

Dropped in class today she made all under Danny Mullins, and had all her rivals off the bridle from three out, going on to score easily by seven lengths in the colours of Sullivan Bloodstock Ltd. Good Thyne Tara finished second under Rachael Blackmore at 9/2, while the 11/8 favourite Lagostovegas was another twelve lengths back in third with David Mullins aboard.

The champion trainer said afterwards: "It was nice compensation for her having fallen and unseated on her last two runs so it was good to get her back with a win.

"I made the decision to come here as opposed to France (Grade 1 juvenile hurdle) next week and I don't think I'll be bringing her across now.

"There is another race over there later, but I'm not sure whether we'll put her away as she has been on the go since December. I'd imagine that'll probably be her for the year."
