Tim Doyle has enjoyed a good spell of form in recent weeks and Summer’s Dream (18/1) kept the ball rolling by winning the second division of the 45-65 handicap over a mile.

There was plenty of trouble in running towards the far rail, but Mikey Sheehy managed to avoid all that on the winner and had a clear passage up the straight.

His mount struck the front entering the final furlong but was all out to hold on by a short head as Chimeric (11/2) flew home in the closing stages.

After Crystal Pool in the first division, it was another win for a 6-year-old mare and in this case a third career win for the daughter of Arcano, who had scored under the same rider at Gowran two runs back.

Remarkably, she just held on from a fast-finishing Chimeric on that occasion as well, when scoring by a head.

It was a ninth winner of the season for 5lb claimer Sheehy, who said: “She has done it well from a better draw than her last run and jumped smart and travelled everywhere I wanted her.

"I was in front a little bit soon at the bottom of the straight but I had no other choice than to commit with her and she was good and game to the line.

"That's her third win so hopefully she can go and bang in another one."
