Under Surveillance showed no ill effects from being brought down at Roscommon last time when taking the Templemore Mares Maiden Hurdle at Thurles.

The Andy Lynch-trained daughter of Flemensfirth already had a Kilbeggan bumper win to her credit this summer but was quite easy in the market as Tara Dylan (5/6 favourite) proved all the rage.

The 5/1 winner headed the front-running odds-on shot after two out, although the market leader rallied as the pair flew the final flight.

Keith Donoghue ’s mount kept on well on the run-in to prevail by half a length from Tillys Delight who belied odds of 50/1 by staying on strongly in the closing stages.

Tara Dylan was just a head back in third, while Miss Chevious Girl could find no extra when far from fluent at the last and was another six lengths adrift in fourth.

Lynch said, "I thought she'd win when she was brought down the last day at Roscommon but we got our go.

"I might give her a break now and she wants further. She'll be back early in the spring with a bit of a cut in the ground."
