The Sean Doyle trained Tomgarrow landed some nice bets on his racecourse debut, as he took the Lengthen The Odds With BetVictor Maiden Hurdle.

Having disappointing on his first two point-to-point starts, he was then a good second at Loughrea in October, before again failing to make an impact at Lingstown and Stradbally respectively.

Available at 25/1 this morning, the son of Aizavoski opened on-course at 16s, before going off a 12/1 chance under Jonathan Moore.

Settled behind the leaders, the chestnut five-year-old was pushed along before the second last and got to the front at the final flight, keeping on well from there to score by three lengths. The Artful Roger (6/1) finished second under Bryan Cooper for John Halley, while Dunbar (10/1) was a short head away in third. Generalisation who was returned the 5/4 favourite, attempted to make all under Rachael Blackmore, but ultimately had to settle for fourth.

Doyle said afterwards: "That was a great performance and it's great for Johnny (Jonathan Moore) who has a share in him with me.

"He had a lovely run the first day this season in Loughrea where he finished second. He is a horse who has showed us loads and loads of ability, but my horses just got sick over the winter and things didn't go his way.

"He loves that good ground and he could be real good novice hurdler. Whatever he does over hurdles, he'll definitely be a very good chaser.

"He will probably go to Doncaster next week to the sales, but if he is not sold it won't be the end of the world. He'll be a lovely horse for the summer.

"I get a great kick out of a few track winners so we might have a few more runners over the summer."
